 What are they growing so many for Ralph? Is there a market for them fresh 
or are they raised for seed? I remember us planting some to improve the soil 
a bit back in the 80's. We'd actually combine enough for seed the following 
year. Dad talks about using them as a green manure crop back in the 
50's--they would plow them under.
We sowed a bunch of sudex mixed with soybeans for cover crop one summer. By 
the time we got around to cutting it under it was 6 foot tall--we had to put 
new set of discs on the harrow to be able to. Now, thanks to no-till, cover 
crop is an almost forgotten term.
