[AJD] Checked rows - Corn planting?

I doubt if it was ever done that way.  The rows are narrower on a diagonal
so the tractor wheel and cultivator settings wouldn't fit.  It might be
possible with a one row horse drawn cultivator but I don't know of anybody
doing it. There would be no advantage to doing it anyway.     John
