Wow, learn something new every day! I can't even believe I've never heard
of this. (Or I'm getting old and forgot if I once knew this...) Anyway,
there's a site called Battery University that's a good resource for
technical info. I figured, IF this was a myth, they would be the ones to
debunk. Turns out, they recommend this technique. They say to use a "few"
tablespoons in 8oz of water. 4 tablespoons = 2 oz and with 8 oz water
that's exactly the same ratio as Bo's. They also say this is probably
going to be a temporary measure. And since it works by desulfating the
plates, you have to give it some time to work (they say up to a month!)
