[AT] Cub

Confirmed. The Cub engine was (or was eventually named) the C-60. It is
purely an IH engine. Prior to the availability of that engine, IH used a
Continental engine for applications of that approximate size. It was the
Continental IY-69. After the Cub engine was available, it was used in
places the IY-69 had been. Other than both being 4 cylinder flatheads of
similar size, the two engines have almost nothing in common.

IH used some very similar flathead Continentals on balers and probably
combines. To the best of my knowledge the Cub engine was an IH design,
at least I never heard my dad say otherwise---nor did I ever stumble
across anything at the dealership indicating . Would be interested as
well to know if IH had any outside input on designing and building it.
