Some time ago I had a late thirtyish tenant with family who, if we were being charitable, might say had trouble paying his rent. He and I were having a discussion about coming current and he mentioned he had a new plan. He had been invited to apply for a student loan and become a university student. He, in my opinion, would not likely have been successful even in an "everyone who shows up passes" program.
I would have loved to see the money but apparently some good sense prevailed somewhere. After I asked that he leave and he did, he went through a bankruptcy. I believe those types of loans are not removable by bankruptcy.
