You are quite lucky!!! The last unit we put on the "water wagon" did 
reasonably well. I think it was a plastic Pacer pump, but its been over 
30 years ago. Prior to that the engine/pump was a struggle. We had 
another that was so old you had to wind the rope to crank it, that pump 
was really worn out. Also had another on the nitorgen wagon that didn't 
seem to "enjoy" being kept under the shed and used just 2 seasons a 
year, always hard to crank and I think its failure was the seals went 
out and possibly got the crankshaft/engine bearings.
