[AT] Saw safety

Yep, that is conceptually very similar to the situation I darn near
inflicted upon myself, although I wasn't up that high, was cutting a branch
rather than the main trunk, didn't get hammered that directly, etc.

And of course I knew it was going to be more dangerous than the normal tree
cutting I've done a great deal of, but I'd rationalized away my better
sense: "It's only just this one branch, I know what I'm doing, I'm careful,
I've got a good plan, the ladder can't go anywhere, I'm wearing all kinds of
protective gear, etc."

I'm here (thankfully) to tell you, all those precautions seemed mighty
insignificant when things suddenly and very dynamically went bad. Even not
that high up, on a ladder you've just got nowhere to go, no choice of
directions in which to run, no time to do anything but recognize that you're
suddenly a small, fragile, non-voting player in what's happening. If you
ever find yourself tempted to mix ladders and chainsaws, I hope you're wiser
than I was.
