</o:shapelayout></xml><![endif]--></head><body lang=EN-US link="#0563C1" vlink="#954F72"><div class=WordSection1><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>Yep, that is conceptually very similar to the situation I darn near inflicted upon myself, although I wasn’t up that high, was cutting a branch rather than the main trunk, didn’t get hammered that directly, etc.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>And of course I knew it was going to be more dangerous than the normal tree cutting I’ve done a great deal of, but I’d rationalized away my better sense: “It’s only just this one branch, I know what I’m doing, I’m careful, I’ve got a good plan, the ladder can’t go anywhere, I’m wearing all kinds of protective gear, etc.”<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>I’m here (thankfully) to tell you, all those precautions seemed mighty insignificant when things suddenly and very dynamically went bad. Even not that high up, on a ladder you’ve just got nowhere to go, no choice of directions in which to run, no time to do anything but recognize that you’re suddenly a small, fragile, non-voting player in what’s happening.
