John,

Your calming, memory seed photo of the nice prepared-for-drilling ground behind the M also took me back to 13. In my case, it was a single cultipacker behind a Farmall Super H.  Can still feel the warmth from the steady engine sometimes flowing back over me on fall evenings. We often had big trees like yours on our field edges, and the tractor lights sweeping across them during turns after dusk would  once in a while pick up reflections from the eyes of some critter or two. Can't you remember how effortlessly we climbed up and down from the high Farmall seats at that age?  We were like tractor squirrels. Ah, the joys of youth.
