   Permatex and Loctite are now one. I think you will find it under the
Loctite brand now. My biggest problem with the #1 is that I don't use it
often enough and it hardens in the cap and makes it difficult to get the cap
off. I only buy the smallest tube I can find.

I can relate to that, Gene.  Then after a time the cap is split in
half from the use of pliers and taped together with electrical tape.
My last tube was probably 10 or more years old.  It seems for about
the last five years I used it from a small hole that had popped in the
side of the tube.  After use I would retape around the tube with more
plastic tape until the next time needed. Actually got the use of most
of the contents.  Until you get it where it is needed, it is it's own
worst enemy.
