I've worked on a lot of Tecumseh engines and this was the first time I ever saw an elbow like this. They were usually all metal, or all plastic, this was a hybrid. Its more of a 90 degree cap.
Thanks for the link to Partsstree. I will get my model numbers and see what I can find. I also have some JB Weld and may give that a try in the mean time.
Fixed the governer on this machine yesterday, it was always over revving when not under a load. I found that the governor arm was hitting the carb shroud. Linkage was in the wrong hole. Amazing what 1/8" difference will do. Sure is nice to have that governer working again.

I looked the elbow of which you speak up for one horizontal shaft 3.5
H.P. and it was part diagram # 253A. However in the parts list, 253A
was not listed. If repair fails, I am guessing almost any small engine
repair shop in your area could open a parts drawer and offer a new
elbow. There must be about 99 million of these engines still in
service.
