The tooth in the throttle actually unbolts from the lever. You should be able to take it off without pulling the lever off. Weld it up and grind it back down. Dad's M was doing the same thing so I did this repair 3 weeks ago. He has since bounced over 70 acres in 4th gear topdressing wheat and it never moved. John Hall
