[Farmall] International A shifting lever problems

I would punch out the pin (3/8 or 5/16") that hold the shift lever in the cover
and see how worn it is, this will also let you lift the shift handle out of the
cover. There is also a larger pin that this one slids through you would want to
check as well. The small pin will probably be worn quite a bit and you can
improve things by replacing it. Tighting the shift lever then building up the
bottom of the shift lever will help as well.

Subject: [Farmall] International A shifting lever problems
I am getting all too good at taking the transmission cover off on my 1946
International A and unjamming the gears. I assume the shifting lever is worn,
making it easy to jam the gears. Anybody know the dimensions is should be
before I weld it up to a larger size? Or is there a reason to think my problem
is something else.
Thanks
Larry Hardesty
