[AT] On the sawmill in Darke County/ Good shows

    Dean;

    You made the exact point I tell everyone. The people who make the shows
are the ones who go a little out of their way to add or contribute a little
bit of themselves to make the show.

    I hear complaints and have seen them on this list from people who attend
a show with no more than their wallets and maybe family. The shows never
seem to meet their exact expectations. No one should expect to stay in the
backgrounds and be able to attend the exact show they want..

    You want to go to a better show? Sure you can. Jump right in and get
involved. That is the nature of the whole hobby. The more you get involved,
the more the show will be to your liking. Get to meet the directors and
officers. Take the camper and spend the evenings in the campground with the
other collectors. Build a campfire, we will gladly give you some of the
sawmill slabs. Walk through the campground and stop and visit with any
chance.

    I find most of my good experiences at tractor shows have nothing to do
with tractors. Mainly the people who are also there to meet more people like
you.

                            Gene
