Charlie, I planted more squash, zucchini and cucumbers about 3 weeks ago. I
planted another batch of them this past Mon.----never tried planting them
this time of the year. About the first of August we'll plant more snap
beans, squash and zucchini--It should come in 1-2 weeks before frost.
Probably plant some peas as soon as the Silver Queen corn is done in about 2
weeks. We probably frost about 1-2 weeks befor you. Of course if we don't
get some rain we won't be planting anything else this year!

I don't know about the practices where you are but we tear up our gardens
pretty deep with the chisel plow behind the 4020 in the early spring. Not
certain what you need to do in that sand.

If you put in a crop of turnips for cover crop this fall, don't let them get
too big or you'll have a heck of a time getting your land in order next
spring. You'll probably want to cut them up in mid Feb.

Our rule of thumb on potatoes is to plant them between the Sweet Sixteen and
the Final Four.
