The  link Roy posted to Hobart/McKay surprised me.  I have never looked 
into a  source for McKay and have acquired several hundred pounds of rod since 
wire feed  became popular.  Its interesting to note how many types of 6011, 
6013, 7018  etc are manufactured.  That would likely be the reason I find 
some rod  works better than others.
