Charlie, I finally had a chance to finish reading it.  I thought it was
very good and, like you, I don't think it was all that far fetched.
Society can degenerate pretty quickly when things go wrong.  What
happened in New Orleans following Katrina is a good example.

I must confess, I had to go out to buy an extra propane jug and make
another trip out for more ammo!
