Dennis, some of the specifications for surface preparation for work we do 
requires pressure washing with no less than 4000 psi.  It's a good thing 
they stop there because anything above 4000 psi is a serious machine!  There 
is a plant that we used to work in a lot that is particularly messy.  They 
have/had a contractor that did nothing for them but pressure wash.  He had 
20,000 psi rig powered by a huge diesel engine and multi-stage pumps.  You 
don't want to get in the way of that one.
