Dean,

This seems like a not-uncommon experience, then.  I bet the radiator  
and cooling system even in my '51 tractor are meant to work pretty  
well  in very hot weather and pretty much full load running downwind.   
After all, saving a few ounces in vehicle weight likely never occurred  
to the designers!  I did have a Volvo that needed a bigger radiator,  
though.  Sweden seldom sees Virginia heat and traffic.

What a good idea. This tractor of mine is definitely not a show piece,  
so a mis-matched color scheme won't offend anyone.  The thing needs a  
complete washdown and scrub.  This winter, I'll clean just enough to  
locate the oil leak, and schedule a full bath for it in the Spring.
