Pictures would help. If it has a grill like a 40 it is probably a 40 or
successor.  If it has a JD manufactured three point it is for sure a 40 or
successor.

I am new to your list and have a simple question.  I bought, or thought I
bought, an MT. The data plate was long gone. The grill is like that of a
model 40. It has a 3 pt. hitch. It also has a 4 speed. Any help in the
proper identification would be appreciated.
