[AT] Caution - Oil question

I understand that synthetic oil will sometimes leak where regular oil 
will not.

I assume your AC has a rope seal. Oil makes the seal swell to it will 
make a seal. I wonder if synthetic oil will do this. Most autos use 
rubber seals now adays.
