This reminds me of the hydrogen welder (French) that I picked up locally
a few years ago at a local pawn shop, H. L.  When I started looking into
the way it worked, I got scared of the thing and took it back and got my
money back.  The problems with it that I saw involve controlling the
pressure of the gas that gets generated and finding a source of the
fuel.  This particular welder uses a very concentrated solution of
hydrogen peroxide -- somewhere in the vicinity of 10 times the strength
of the stuff you find in your local pharmacy.  The welder I had uses the
same technology as the positioning thrusters on space craft.  It
requires no source of oxygen for combustion and will produce a flame in
an absolute vacuum.

The welder is still setting in the pawn shop.  Let me know if you're
interested and I can have it available for you to pick up on your way to
Portland in August.  It's about the size of a bread box and the price
tag is $100.  Think of the fun you could have with this thing around a
Dotson Brother's campfire while doing crafts projects with shim stock.
It's probably about as safe as sailing anvils.
