[AT] Deere plant visit

Ron/Walt:

Looks like it may be black. It appears though that the single or double
trees were painted red. I also seem to remember the tongues being Red but
I've also seen them in natural wood color with a varnish coat and in Green
with the JD Logo.

The trouble with using these pictures as a reference is that we don't know
if the owner painted them using the correct original color scheme.

By the time I was old enough to remember the horse drawn equipment my Dad
used, the paint was all gone on the mowers already. I do remember he
preferred to mow the roadside ditches with a team of horses and the horse
drawn mower vs using a tractor mower. The ditch banks were quite steep then
as I recall. Over time those ditch banks on the farm land side have
disappeared and now they farm from the center of the road to the center of
the road. Makes for some very dangerous intersections. I'm not sure how the
County lets them get by with that. In today's litigious society I would
think that would create quite a significant liability.

I don't know, Walt. But Deere painted some things red, so I'll guess...Red.
