Larry,
there should be some kind  of shims under the hold downs to adjust the 
clearance.  Or like mine on the  massy you just replace worn ones.
I found that if you don't use the   serrated blades its real hard to cut fine 
grass. 
I like the under serrated  because you can sharpen them once or twice before 
replacing them.
