[AT] ford 4000 diesel

Hi guys
 
I know that moat of you are interested in tractors older than this one
but mine is old enough that I haven’t been able to find some info on the
controls locally so maybe someone here can help.
 
I have posted pix of the controls in question to photobucket; here’s the

what’s it for?

hydraulic control for an auxiliary cylinder; guess it has to do with the
auxiliary cylinder use?

toward the back; only moves about a quarter to half inch so may need
some adjustment; again; what’s it supposed to do?
 
I was trying to dig post holes Saturday with little success.  I’m
guessing it has just gravity down (or power down on 3PT disabled with
one of these knobs or levers)?
 
Any info or advice appreciated!
