You are right about it being a Wolfe gear, Lawrence. Serves me right for
trusting a dusty brain over a dusty book!
Thanks for coming to the rescue on this one. I don't have a lot of exposure
to traction engines, but I do like them.
Perhaps the right lottery numbers will come up and change that, but for now
it's stationary engines at the museum
for me!

straight horizontally with the crank shaft that the valve has no or very

the crankshaft center line, that you obtain valve motion.  Anyone, am I
incorrect on my understanding of the "Marsh Valve"?
