Your local dealer may still be able to get them (par # 48986DA) (jam nut 
351833R1) , if not check with www.jptractorsalvage.com for them.  
another source would be McMaster-Karr ( www.mcmaster.com ).  and yes, 
grade 5 or 8 is very hard.  Homeowner quality  taps will not cut threads 
on them.
