[Farmall] Farmall Model H - Cuts out after 45 min to an hour

Since it takes almost an hour for the engine to quit, you can pretty
well eliminate the carburetor as a source of trouble - if the carb was
the problem, it would likely not run at all or very poorly.

I did have a similar problem with my Super M, and it turned out to be
the little metal cap from the end of a gas can spout that was floating
around in the tank. The tractor would run fine and then mysteriously
quit when the cap found itself over the tank outlet. It drove me nuts,
but I finally found it with the help of a very bright flashlight.

I am not as knowledgeable about magneto ignitions as I am with electric
ignition systems, but you might want to look very carefully for any
wires inside the distributor and coil housing that might be touching,
especially ones that are very close to touching and could short out when
hot and expanding. But if the behavior before and after the magneto
change is exactly the same, that is an amazing coincidence. :-) I will
agree with Steve, however, that everything points towards a bad coil.

If it was an electric ignition system that was converted to 12 volts
from 6 volts, my guess would be the lack of or too small a ballast
resistor in line with the coil, causing it to overheat.
