sounds like air in the hydraulic pump.  if you can get to the pump,  take off 
the intake line to the pump and see if you have fluid there.  By  
discnnecting the line, you may start fluid to traveiiling to the pump.   take off the 
output line, and crank the tractor to see of fluid comes  out.   I do not know 
where the pump is, if it is in the sump of the  transmission, then this is going 
to be dificult. 
 
Walt Davies has a Kubota, he may have some advice or a manual that could  
help.
