[AT] cub / prime oil pump

Walt, the priming isnt done so much to make it pump, just to make it pump
sooner....  

How long do you want to run your engine with no oil pressure???  

Priming it makes sure there is oil at the pump right away to minimize the
amount of time it runs without any.

Positive  displacement means that it will pump air as well as oil if it 
doesn't then you  need to replace or repair the pump, simply priming it will
not 
repair it.   I won't run an engine that needs to have the pump primed
because 
sooner or later  you are going to damage something. It doesn't matter if the

engine has set for  20 years or if you just put it together yesterday the
pump 
does not need to be  primed if it is in proper working condition. 
>From what I here out there on  the list the Cub must have a very poorly
made 
pump if you need to prime then to  get them working.
