[Steam-engine] Belting question?

I am not completely clear on what you are looking for with the rolled up
part, but.
If you add the diameters of the two pulleys and divide the result by 2,
them multiply by Pi (3.1415), then add 2 times the distance between the
centers of the pulleys you will get the length of the belt needed to go
around the pulleys.
This is not exact but unless the difference in sizes of the two pulleys is
extreme and the center to center distance is very short it will be close
enough for most work.
Or with a little simplifying.
(1.57(D1+D2))+(2C)
