[AT] Checked rows - Corn planting?

In one of the JD books, (can't rember which one since I've slept since I 
last looked at it) there is a beautiful picture of a tractor cultivating a 
checked field.  I never saw one cultivated on the Diagonal but from the 
picture of the perfect feild it looks very possible.
