[AJD] (OT):/ phone troubles

Our phone company is ALLTEL, and although most other people consider us to
be out in the boonies, I think we are close enough to the hard road that we
should have some high speed internet options, but NONE exist that I know of.
Just dial-up. ALLTEL is horrible for customer service on the phone. When I
had my phone connected for the first time two years ago (Our house was built
in the 1880s and never had a phone till 2004) they were a pain in the butt!
They blew off three appointments (due to more important emergies . . .yeah
right) and then left the phone cables lying on the ground for several
months, before I called and complained several times that they needed to be
buried. I had a hard time driving the tractor around those wires to get to
my fields, and almost chopped them in half with the Farmall's belly mower on
more than one occasion.

Happy 2006 everybody, Sincerely Troy
