David , I built a 22 foot hyd tilt trailer a couple of years ago for less 
than 2 thousand smackers. If you would like , i will put the photos on one 
of my sites this evening . I used 8" channel ( 150.00 used ), new 3500 lb 
torque axles with brakes on one axle, no need for springs ( 600.00) 4" 
channel cross bracing , 12000 lb electric winch ,12 v hyd pump and motor and 
the two lift cylinders which the latter items were used and new treated 2x10 
pine for the flooring .
