We built our own goose neck 16' grain trailer. We used
S10 x 25.4 I beam which came out of a factory crane
system. (I got those factory direct at no cost) Then
we used the grain body which was in good shape off of
the existing grain truck that was on its last leg in
my opinion which we sold for $500. I bought 2 new 10K
axle from A&N Trailer which ran me $2800. I installed
a cylinder from a wrecked dump truck which again at no
cost to me. I have about $2800 total in my trailer
with tires and misc items including the $500 that I
sold the truck for. New trailer like this are around
$6500. So the long and short of this if you can
salvage some parts it is much more cost effective to
build your own.

My 50 cents worth.
