Aha, there was an attachment for Hand Start tractors. I knew that mounted
corn pickers were around at the same time as hand start tractors so there
had to be something to solve that problem. Thanks for the info.

Subject: b starting wheel
Dean,
I sent this to the JD list but it didn't go through, so I thought I would
send it to you. I had a #15 picker once and the cranking wheel and
attachments came with it. It came off a 1935 B.Please forward this to the JD
list.
Thanks

Hello,
This guy isn't blowing smoke. This was used with the #15 and #25 push type
cornpickers. They came with a ratchet that bolted to the flywheel on a hand
start tractor and a extension and brackets to use it. The wheel part # is J
1015 H and the ratchet #is J 1065 H for 1938 -1940 and #J 1203 H for 1940
and 1941. It also list the pipe extension # AJ 3546 H and starting wheel and
extension as a assy.as # AJ 3547 H.
I got this out of repair catalog # 50H. It also lists all the attachment
parts that go on the picker to use it.
