[AT] Parting out tractors - what are your thoughts?

Truth be told, if I was trying to buy a "trim" item like a piece of
sheet metal, I'd rather buy one from a tractor like this. Would I do
this to my Super A? Not in a zillion years! ;)

Welllll, it's not a Dain or a "Comfort King" and it is his tractor.
After
all it's only a tractor. Sometimes we become too emotional over these
things. I guess it boils down to the fact that it is his to do with as
he
pleases. Would I do it? Depends on have I tried to sell it outright, do
I
need to maximize the return, etc. No easy answer. I'd probably not do
it.

parting
out busted up and broken-down hulks. I've gotten parts this way myself.
But what about parting out restorable tractors, or worse yet - running
and
drivable tractors? This link is what got me thinking about the subject:

It appears this seller is parting out what used to be a very
nice-looking,
parade-ready tractor. Not a perfect tractor, but definitely not a hulk.
I
don't want to villafy the man - he has every right to do what he wants
to
his tractor - and I hate to single him out, but it's just an example.
