Eating while doing tractor things sort of ramble (was)RE: [AT]Speaking of Harbor Freight

Let's see Cecil. It is 11:29 am here. The skylight inn is 40 miles away.
I could probably make it just about the time the lunch rush dies down. A
medium tray sure would be good!

I was in there 2 weeks ago. I was passing by at 11 am and thought I would
get in before the rush. ....... WRONG. The line was to the door. Lots of
folks in front had big orders to go. Must have taken all of 15 minutes to
get through the line.

Farmer I have eaten in some high brow places. I don't do it often but I
have and will again. Some are well worth the money both in terms of food
quality and atmosphere. Some wouldn't be any good if they paid you to eat
there.
I think the worst ever in terms of food and service was a joint in Hilton
Head SC. I won't even try to describe it except to say that the
wait..hhmmmm...person decided I was Orthodox Jewish because I have a beard
and made wholesale changes in my order to accomodate my kosher requirements
without bothering to consult with me. She also assumed that the young lady
that was in our party was my wife and put her meal on my check. It was a
business situation so I couldn't afford to make a scene.
Somethings you just have to take and get over. grins.
The best resturant in Hilton Head SC is/was an outdoor joint where a guy
cooked barbque in old oil drums under a live oak tree. The snobs that live
in that tourist trap forced him out of business.
