Mike,

Welcome to the wonderful world of Rusty Iron!  Someone at JD figured out 
a couple of years ago that there was a group of "weirdos" out there that 
collected their "obsolete junk".  They went from "get rid of this dead 
stock, and cut our losses" to "these guys will pay any amount for this 
old stuff", and prices have skyrocketed on manuals and parts from Mother 
Deere.  I've gotten most of the manuals for my tractors and equipment on 
Ebay, from farm sales, and the occasional "pirate" digital copy.  The 
I&T manuals do have some good info, but some of their procedures seem to 
have been written by someone who has never seen a tractor!
