[AT] OT- Late model chevy truck question

WRONG!!!! Cant reset ecm without scanner on GM 96 and later SORRY. As far as
the loose cap this can happen on any vehicle now. The EVAP system sees a
vacuum leak and throws on the light.

It will reset itself after a few starts if the problem is cured.
Or you could pull the ECM fuses and wipe it out.
