Guess I'm not very observant at 16 points. Of course I attribute it to
failing memory.
Bob, that yacht you mention on the dime is the Canadian sailing ship
"Bluenose". More of an east coast tradition but certainly recognized  across
Canada.
Your canadian dollars date back when to when they really were a "silver
dollar". The gold coloured ones we have now are literally referred to as
"loonies" named after the bird. Loonies  replaced the paper dollar probably
more years ago than I think. Was'nt long after that the "toonies" were
introduced to replace the paper 2 dollar bill.
As yet there is no replacement for the $3 bill. :-).
