[AT] fixing a spark plug

Hey all, I'm trying to get a mower running so I can give it to my sister
who is going through a messy divorce. I have a briggs and stratton 6.5
hp, parts store gave a Champion RJ19LM. After filling with oil and fuel,
it started after 2 pulls. After sitting for a while I tried it again and
it wouldn't even sputter. Pulled the plug and no spark, tried another
plug, no spark. Tried the old phillips in the spark boot, and got a nice
hot  blue spark. Any thoughts?
