[AT] Looking for an old picture

Thanks Steve!

Here’s one of the pictures he’s forwarded. Two important mentions:

1 - It can’t possibly be me because my hair is not gray like it is now (-;

2 - Notice my look of astonishment as the dynamometer melts down (-;

The link I followed let me to believe it was actually a digital photograph. I know digital photography was in its infancy in the late by 1990s but I think Nikon CoolPix and a couple other cameras were already gaining in popularity.

The only reason I ask is because I was asked an exact year and a digital photo’s meta-data could possibly lead me to that.

The badge tag on the fellow in the foreground is orange. I’ll dig through my Portland memorabilia and see if I can find an orange badge tag in the late 1990s.

Thanks again Steve for the trip down memory lane. I really do appreciate it.

Spencer

Unfortunately they feature Spencer and the Pacer, and the dyno is out of the shot. Mine have never been digitized until now, as far as I can recall. I also reviewed my old Picasa album but it's too new; earliest shots are about 2003-ish. I'm thinking the picture he's recalling is probably one of Dean Vinson's.

>> Yes, Spencer, maybe me. I *think* I have a photo album from that Portland show, in the old meaning, an actual hardcover book full of printed images. I'm not sure I was shooting digital film back then, but maybe. I used to have some photos stored on Picasa which is now defunct and I'm not sure they would have been there, anyway. I will make a note to check at home tonight.

I say “apocryphal”, but I was there and I can swear to it authenticity :-) So can Farmer and we all know that Farmer would never tell a tall tale....
