[AT] More Troy Built issues

Glad to hear the grease solved the problem!

I’ve had experience with heavier weight oils helping with oil pressure(it does). I used to use 20 W 50 in my Farmall A because the bearings were worn enough to prevent adequate pressure from building with thinner oils - especially in the summer and running it hard mowing fields. It really didn’t have any oil leaks to speak of, but it did have a few minor ones. I don’t remember them improving. At least they didn’t improve enough for me to notice.

So I have not specifically tried to solve oil leak issues with heavier weight oils but my guess is the heavier weight oil will improve the leak incrementally but not make enough difference to solve the problem.

Would love to hear other experiences.
