[AT] Air compressor failure

Dean,

If you let the tank bleed down enough for the switch to cut in and then
watch the pressure gauge, at what point does the pressure quit climbing?

Also if it is getting close to the 135 PSI reading try giving the switch
assembly a gentle tap or two to see if you can jar it loose and get it
to flip off. At that point you should hear a short discharge of air as
the bleeder pipe empties the cylinder heads. Then all should be quiet.
If that is the case replacement switch assemblies are not that expensive.

I don't think my Husky ever got all the way up to 135, but would cut off
at about 130 ish. Never knew if this was a gauge issue or if the switch
was set just a little low. The adjuster screw on the switch was epoxied
in place to keep people from messing with it.

Too bad you are not closer, I would make you a really good deal on a
replacement pump, motor and switch assy!
