The Ypsilanti Museum is located in a building that was originally a Hudson dealership. Last I knew, it had a Fraser Rototiller on display.

The Society of Automotive Historians showed the Hudson movie in a building in Ypsilanti that was full of collector cars. It is some sort of group where you rent a space. Some ice machines there but no tractors.

I entereted into a discussion with a man who had an English sounding accent. When I asked him what he knew about the Standard engines used in Ferguson tractors he was able to add two points.

His father had owned a gasoline engine Standard Vanguard.Sounded like it had been too much a plane jane car to win his approval. He drives a Jaguar.

The man had been Chief Engineer of a car company, Jensen, that manufactured automobiles with the Ferguson Four Wheel drive system. He mentioned that the 4wd drive version of the Jensen FF was not exported to the US because the 4wd configuration did not permit making the car as a left hand drive.

When the company folded, all the documentation was dumpstered. Sounded like He had regrets that he did not privatize some.

     Jensen FF - Wikipedia
The Jensen FF is a four-wheel drive grand tourer produced by British car manufacturer Jensen Motors between 1966 and 1971. It was the first non all-terrain production car equipped with four-wheel drive and an anti-lock braking system.. The use of four-wheel drive in a passenger car preceded the successful AMC Eagle by thirteen years and the Audi Quattro by fourteen years, and the Subaru Leone ...

The afternoon events were held at the Ypsilati museum that displayed Hudsons, Kaiser-Frasers, Henry J, a Lincoln with a Hydramatic transmissions, as well as fwd and rwd Hydramatic trnsmissions, a rotarty engine built by GM, and Corvair engines.

I was at an event today where a movie was shown about the Hudson brand of automobiles. One early Hudson developed engine actually got the compression ratio up to 5:1. I had not been aware of the number of automobile technical advances made by Hudson. Hudson's were still on the road in my youth.

The Continental Z120 engine used in the TO-20 had a compression ratio of only 6.1:1.

At 6.5:1 compression ratio for the TO-30 with Z129 Continental and the TO-35 with Standard 23C at 20:1 compression ratio and slightly larger piston diameter you are right that the 23C engine can't be hand cranked by most people.

Sometime in the fifties the Massey Ferguson sheet metal no longer has crank holes in the front.

Could the 23C be hand cranked? I've never owned one, but I doubt that it
could be cranked over the first compression stroke!
