[AT] Kubota followup

I could not agree more! I've got a bunch of data tag stories, but I'll
share the most recent one from a few weeks ago. As background, I repair
and maintain (and program, tool, set up, operate...) older Japanese CNC
lathes circa 1990's. They are equipped with bar feeders that pump oil to
the bar chamber, purpose being simply to let the bar spin quieter and
faster. Most have separate tanks, but one in particular uses the enclosure
itself as a sump - about 40 gallons. A pneumatic cylinder recently blew a
seal. These days pneumatic cylinders have become disposable, commodity
items, but not this one. I had to figure out who made it and then hope
rebuild kits were available. No data tag. I threw a hail-mary pass and
drained the 40 gallons (yeah, I keep eight 5-gallon pails nearby) and lo
and behold, there's the data tag down there at the bottom! A pretty robust
material, still legible, but the adhesive had given up after a couple
decades living in an oil bath.
