In the town I grew up was "Warner's Hollow". It might be called in a canyon in the parts of the US that used to be part of Mexico. When Morgan was raiding, people from miles around allegedly hid their livestock in the Hollow. We mentioned how the young men had largely gotten themselves killed at Bull Run. Morgan did not make it that far north.
I had not known that this man was a descendant of that Morgan. If you stop your tractor at a red light, you will know why.

I used to work with a man whose grandfather had known Eliot Ness from the Cleveland Police Department.
