Cecil, Thanks for the info.  The Wagner loader hydraulics are separate, driven by a pump on the front of the tractor.  The loader is working fine.
When the weather improves, I'll take a look as you suggest.

Years ago when I worked on at least 2 massey hydraulic lifts a week, the
relief valve very rarely was the problem.? It was the easiest to
replace, but very few times solved the problem.? If it has been popping
off a lot, then it might be the problem.? If it could have been rusty
and then popped off a few times it might have a broken spring.??? It is
accessed from the PTO shifter side as I remember.? You can take off a
side cover plate and try to lift the blade while running and watch for
oil dripping from t he top or spraying from the bottom.?? The top would
be the lift cylinder.? You do not specify how the loader is connected,
but if it is plumbed into the tractor hydraulics, the loader supply has
to be shut off for the lift to work....
