Yes, that matches my experience lately with Motorcraft as well. The 
factory Motorcraft battery in my 2009 F150 got replaced in 2017 when it 
started to get weak. I still have the factory battery in my 2014 Fusion 
with no sign of problems. I recently replaced the battery in my 
Granddaughters car and also put a Motorcraft in it.
